Coyote Stranded On Charles River Ice Escapes
CAMBRIDGE (CBS) - A coyote was stranded on the ice in the Charles River for a few hours Tuesday morning as the snow began to fall.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Carl Stevens reports
It was stuck in an area near the Royal Sonesta Hotel on Edwin Land Boulevard in Cambridge.
"When animal control officers entered the water, the coyote jumped from his frozen perch into unfrozen water, swam a short distance, climbed back onto a frozen area and ran to land. The animal was last seen heading toward the Museum of Science area," State Police said in a statement.
Early Tuesday afternoon representatives from the Animal Rescue League found the coyote behind the Museum of Science and brought it in to warm it up.
