Greg Hardy Hoping To See Tom Brady 'On The Ground' On Sunday
BOSTON (CBS) -- Greg Hardy will return from his four-game suspension and make his Dallas Cowboys debut on Sunday, and he couldn't be happier about the opponent.
Hardy, who was originally suspended for 10 games after a heinous incident with his ex-girlfriend last spring but later had the ban reduced to four games, is pretty excited that he'll make his Cowboys debut against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
The defensive end said he can't wait to see Brady, and his views on the upcoming matchup haven't changed with the quarterback's stellar start to 2015.
"The same way I did last time I saw him, hopefully [I see him] on the ground," he told the Dallas media on Tuesday.
Hardy is now in his sixth season in the NFL, racking up 34 sacks over his five-year stay with the Carolina Panthers. He had a sack of Brady when the two teams met in 2013, the only time the two have crossed paths on the field.
The ever-rotating New England offensive line, consisting of a trio of rookies, has only allowed Brady to be sacked six times over the first three games of the season.
Hardy is also hoping Brady brings some company to Dallas.
"I love seeing Tom Brady. He's cool as crap. You seen his wife?" he asked. "I hope she comes to the game. I hope her sister comes to the game. [I hope] all her friends come to the game."
