Couple Traveling With Toddler Assaulted On Red Line Train
BOSTON (CBS) - A Weymouth man is behind bars after police say he attacked a couple while they were traveling on the MBTA with their toddler.

Officers were called to the Broadway station around 6 p.m. Sunday after Joseph Pacheco, 43, and another woman allegedly attacked a mother and father while they were traveling on the train with their 2-year-old daughter.
"I was extremely frightened. My child was in the middle of it all," Kelly Carey said.
The couple told police they got on the Red Line at Wollaston Station and once onboard, they noticed a man, later identified as Pacheco, arguing with a woman.
Police have released surveillance images of the woman believed to be involved in the attack.
Police say Pacheco repeatedly asked Kelly for cigarettes and even tried to sell her razor blades.
When Pacheco leaned over the stroller carrying the 2-year-old, Carey demanded he back away from her daughter.
It was then that the woman who was with Pacheco began assaulting Carey.
Immediately Kelly's boyfriend Wesley jumped in to protect his child and Kelly.
"Pacheco had a 40oz tucked in his jacket and he tried to hit my boyfriend with it. And by the grace of God my boyfriend ducked and the bottle smashed up against the train," Kelly said.
As the train pulled into the station, the mother and daughter were able to get off the train.
Transit Police arrested Pacheco and charged him with assault with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery. There was also a warrant out for Pacheco's arrest.
"Thank God I am not in the hospital and my child is okay," Kelly said. Pacheco is being held without bail and police are still trying to identify the other woman.
