Countdown to Quieter Days
For the majority of our viewing area, today will be the last full day of mostly cloudy skies, intermittent showers, and dreary conditions. The exceptions are the Cape and the Islands due to the placement and slow movement of a weakening 500H low. A Wind Advisory will be in effect for the Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket thru 6pm this evening as gusts may reach 45-50 mph from the N-NE. Highs will range between 46F-50F this afternoon.
The transitional day will be Wednesday as residual clouds and lingering showers along Southeastern Massachusetts start to lose grip. The remainder of our viewing area will soak in more sunshine as the day moves into evening.
An Omega Blocking High will travel eastward which will blockade rain from much of the East Coast thru the weekend.
We are just hours away from-> sunshine and more seasonable highs.
