Cooler Second Half...

The high in Boston today was 81 degrees...granted it was set in the morning and much of the day was spent in the 70s due to a seabreeze...but that 81 was more representative of most of Southern New England today.  With a backdoor coldfront slipping down from the north, cooler air, ushered in on an ENE breeze, will be present for the remainder of the week.  Bands of clouds are working thru at the moment with this front but no rain...these clouds will be passing on by tomorrow afternoon so filtered sun tomorrow morning will give way to brighter sun in the afternoon.  High pressure will be locked in the Maritimes of Canada so more dry weather will be with us on Friday too!

Over the weekend, the high will relinquish control and a frontal system with better upper level support will break the dry streak...a sprinkle or two will be possible on Saturday as a warmfront works through.  Sunday, in the muggier air, will feature showers in the afternoon and maybe a thunderstorm.  The coldfront will get hung up over New England delaying the end to the showers until Monday midday now.
