Convenience Store Robber Takes Aim, Threatens To Shoot 3-Year-Old
LAWRENCE (CBS) - Police in Lawrence are looking for a gun-wielding robber who pointed a gun at a store clerk and her young daughter earlier this week.
The clerk had just come into work at the convenience store on Hampshire Street.
She had her 3-year-old daughter with her when a masked man held her up at gunpoint.
WBZ-TV's Paul Burton reports.
The woman told police that the suspect threatened several times to shoot her and her daughter.
Police Chief John Romero says the gunman, who did get away with money, was familiar with the store.
"He knew the layout," Chief Romero told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Doug Cope. "There were things that he had asked for, that he knew where money might be, which tells us he was familiar with the layout."
The suspect was wearing a hoodie and a bandana over his face, was about six feet tall with a muscular build, a black jacket, black mask, and jeans.
