Connolly, Walsh Appeal For Votes As Boston Mayor Race Enters Final Week
BOSTON (CBS) -- With a little more than a week left in their campaigns to become the next mayor, John Connolly and Marty Walsh were busy reaching out to voters on Sunday.
Connolly has been courting mayoral votes the longest, jumping into the race before longtime Mayor Tom Menino even announced his retirement. And the head start seems to have helped: A poll published this week in The Boston Globe gave Connolly an 8-point edge on Walsh.
On Sunday, Walsh was in Chinatown, which is one of the neighborhoods in the city that found his appeals to "the little guy" appealing during the runoff election earlier this month.
