Conn. Police Suspend Search For Alleged Hernandez Murder Weapon
BRISTOL, CONN (CBS)- Police in Connecticut have suspended the search for murder weapon in the case involving Aaron Hernandez.
Prosecutors say in June the former member of the New England Patriots shot and killed his friend Odin Lloyd near his North Attleboro home.
Divers had been searching a lake in Bristol, Connecticut, near Hernandez's hometown, for several days.
It's believed they were looking for the .45 caliber handgun used in the crime.
Police are expected to return to the area next week to search in a smaller body of water.
