Concern For Brush Fires Still High Along 2011 Tornado Path
BRIMFIELD (CBS) - A huge brush fire in Brimfield is now out, but fears are growing over the fire danger along the path of last year's tornado.

The 52 acres that burned Wednesday into Thursday morning are just some of the thousands of Western Massachusetts woodland covered by downed trees and dry brush.
Meg Turnowski of the Village Green Campground said the fire came very close to her camp, which is just barely recovering from last year's tornado. The camp has no more trees, but they still hope to open half the property in May.
"Holy mackerel! That was a scare," said Turnowski about the brush fire. "It was a hard night."
Camp staff watched and wondered how they'd move trailers and protect the campground if the fire moved closer. Now, they worry about the next time.
"We can only clean up so much. It's very much on our mind," said Turnowski.
The blaze also came close to David's A1 Auto Shop.
"Oh, it came close to all of us. We were worried about it coming over the hill and watching cars probably start exploding," said an employee there.
Brush burning permits have been suspended indefinitely because of the threat.
