MBTA Commuter Rail Train Hits Sidewalk Plow In Waltham

WALTHAM (CBS) --A Commuter Rail train hit a sidewalk plow in Waltham Friday morning. It happened on South Street around 9:30 a.m.

The MBTA said no one was in the plow when the train hit it.

It's unclear how the sidewalk plow ended up on the tracks because the railroad's crossing protection system was working properly, according to the MBTA.

About five inches of snow had fallen in Waltham at the time.
