Coast Guard Searches For Missing Boaters Off Cape Cod
SANDWICH (CBS) - The Coast Guard is searching from Sandwich to Provincetown for three men who disappeared while fishing. So far, there are no signs of them or their boat.
The fishing trip on Cape Cod Bay was a family affair. Mario Fialho headed out on the water with his cousin Carlos Amaral and Amaral's adult son Dylan.
The trio went out Tuesday and was supposed to return to the Sandwich Marina later that day - by 2:00 p.m. By all accounts, the weather was nice.
When they still were not back by 7:00 p.m., a friend called the Coast Guard. They started searching by air and sea.
The cousins were on Fialho's boat named the "Dad Sea Cave." They took the 23-foot vessel out for recreational fishing. They are all experienced on the water. Fialho's family says he is a commercial fisherman.
The only sign the men were at the marina is their pick-up truck and boat trailer that remains parked feet away from the boat ramp where they were supposed to return.
