Coach Placed On Leave Over Alleged Andover Hazing Incident
ANDOVER (CBS) - The fallout continues from the Andover High School basketball hazing investigation.
On Friday, WBZ-TV learned that Andover's Basketball coach David Fazio has been placed on administrative leave.
Andover's school superintendent said earlier this week that investigators were looking into whether school employees were involved.

In the meantime, attorneys for students involved in the Andover hazing incident say they feel good about finally being able to make their cases before the school. They are asking school officials for leniency in the punishment phase of the investigation into the hazing at the Hoop Mountain Basketball Camp at Stonehill College in July. Two students are facing expulsion, and five others face suspension.
Arthur Broadhurst, who represents the team captain, says he told school officials that his client is a high quality young man.
"This is a good kid who's worked hard to get where he's gotten and he hopes that they will use that in their determination," said Broadhurst. "He's distraught. The parents are distraught. All of the kids involved have suffered a price. I think the sooner we can move on is better for everyone."
CRITICIZING THE INVESTIGATION
A source tells WBZ-TV that members of the team were writing on a Facebook page, criticizing the investigation.
According to the source, the posts on Wednesday from a student at the center of the investigation called the investigation bull sh*t. He also told the other players to attend a meeting at "Dunn Gym.. right after school... you better be there."

LACK OF COMMUNICATION?
Some students are upset with the school for not talking about what is going on. The students say everyone is spreading rumors, and the school is missing a teachable moment. One student, who asked not to be identified, said the school only released a broad statement, but no one has talked about the dangers of hazing and its impacts.
"I feel this is important," he said. "This is an opportunity that is being missed to talk about hazing, to talk about the culture of the school, and I think we are really missing an opportunity."
