Clouds And Temperature On The Rise
Today is the beginning of a 3 day warming trend. In reality, it is part of a warming trend that goes back to the beginning of last week. Temps have averaged above normal for most of the month of November. But 60's is something we are starting to become used to and that is a good thing!
Sunshine mixes with passing high to mid-level clouds today. Breezy SW winds pick up this afternoon especially on the Cape & Island where gust to 30-35 mph are possible. Highs will range from 60-65 degrees. Passing clouds with SW breezes will keep temps from falling much overnight with lows in the 40's and lwr 50's
Monday will likely start off with some sun with increasing mid level clouds by the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 60's...ajnd still breezy. A Gale watch has been issued for the outer waters of the Cape and Islands for late tonight thru Monday afternoon for SW winds gusting to 35 kts and seas build to 5-10 feet offshore. A weak front will approach Monday night which may trigger a shower or two in the interior.
Tuesday should get off to a dry start with abundant cloud cover in place. SW winds will keep in balmy and mild with temps in the mid-upper 60's.The shower threat will increase during the afternoon, with the best chance of showers later in the day and through Tuesday night. There is the possibility of Wednesday getting off to a damp start with showers but high pressure will build in with breezy NW winds and bring in the cooler air. Temps will start off Mild Wednesday nearing 60...before falling in the afternoon with clearing skies.
Thursday through Saturday will feature quiet and cooler weather. 40's for Thurs & Friday despite the sunshine...then back into the 50's Saturday with warming SW winds on the back side of high pressure.
