Children In Amber Alert Back Safe In Massachusetts
BRAINTREE (CBS) – Two children who were the focus of an Amber Alert Monday night are back safe in Massachusetts.
Fifty-four-year-old Jon Lockwood is accused of forcibly taking his two biological children from a foster home in Braintree around 4:30 p.m. Monday.
He then drove to Connecticut and State Police activated an Amber Alert.
About two hours later, a truck driver noticed the car and called police.

Braintree Amber Alert
Eight-year-old Patrick Nguyen and his 10-year-old sister, Sara, were found unharmed with their father at a 7-11 convenience store in South Windsor, Connecticut.
Lockwood was arrested.
Braintree Police Chief Russell Jenkins said they weren't completely surprised by what happened Monday because authorities had been given a heads up.
"We knew that there was a custody battle. I'm told the mother is out of the country. She was awarded custody of the children, but it's taken some time to get the paperwork in place, and there was the thought he may try to do something like this," he told reporters Tuesday.
If Lockwood waives rendition, he could be back in Massachusetts as early as Tuesday afternoon for arraignment.
Jenkins did not have any details on the charges.
