Girl, 7, Gets Trapped Under Gravestone At Lowell Cemetery
LOWELL (CBS) - A 7-year-old girl was seriously injured after getting trapped under a gravestone at a cemetery in Lowell on Thursday.
The child's 33-year-old mother brought her daughter and her daughter's friend along to visit the grave site of a relative at Edson Cemetery in Lowell.
A gravestone, 3 feet high by 4 feet wide, toppled onto the 7-year-old girl (the woman's daughter) after 4 p.m.
The girl suffered serious injuries to the left side of her body, police said. She was taken to the hospital. Her present condition is not known.
It's not know how the gravestone fell onto the girl.
No other details were immediately available.
