Change of Pace...
A strong storm for this time of year is swirling offshore creating onshore flow and locking in low-level moisture. Th result...a cloudy and cool day with highs only near 70...almost 10 degrees below normal. This will easily be the coolest day of the month. Along with the clouds there may be a passing shower or two and a few pockets of drizzle.
The storm will spin away tonight and the wind will shift to the north...that's enough of a wind shift to break the clouds up leading to Summer's return tomorrow. After patchy early morning fog, the sun will bun through and temps will spike into the 80s.
The holiday weekend looks like typical Summer...with sunshine mixing with some clouds, very humid conditions and an increasing chance for thunderstorms. The highest chance for storms will be on Labor Day as a cold front works in from the west.
