Change...

That is a word you here come out of my mouth this week.

We are literally stuck in a holding pattern for the next several days.  Strong NW flow continues to pour in with dry and seasonably chilly air and certainly no rain.  Speaking of rain, a large storm swirling through the south with soaking rain will clear the SE US and head out over water tomorrow.  This storm will then get drawn north by the northern latitude trough giving us this chilly air.  The two will merge and cut-off staying more or less stationary over the Northeast early next week.  Current expectations are that this low will send clouds our way for Easter Sunday and maybe even a few showers later in the day.  It will then park itself just north of us and impulses of energy will spin around it inducing occasional showers through the middle of next week.

Unfortunately at this time, with this positioning a steady soaking rainstorm isn't in the cards but there is potential.
