Celtics Welcome Vonleh, Klimenko In For Pre-Draft Workouts
BOSTON (CBS) -- The Boston Celtics will welcome a handful of candidates for the sixth overall pick in for workouts over the next few days, including Haverhill's Noah Vonleh.
The Indiana forward will be one of six prospects working out for the Celtics in Waltham on Wednesday. Here is the full list according to The Globe's Baxter Holmes:
Isaiah Austin, C -- Baylor
Sam Dower, F/C -- Gonzaga
Artem Klimenko, C/PF -- Avtodor (Russia)
Javon McCrea, PF -- Buffalo
Daniel Miller, C -- Georgia Tech
Noah Vonleh, PF -- Indiana
The 19-year-old Vonleh was impressive in his only season at Indiana, averaging 11.3 points per game while shooting 52 percent from the field and 49 percent from 3-point range. He has a 7-foot-3 wingspan and is an active rebounder on both ends, averaging nine rebounds per game last season and logging 13 double-digit rebound games.

In addition to Vonleh, Russia's Artem Klimenko is an intriguing name at Wednesday's workouts. He's seen as a mobile big-man, even at 7-foot- 1, with raw talent who could go late in the first round or early second round. These workouts are important for Klimenko, who averaged 13.5 points and seven rebounds per game for Avtodor in Russia.
Austin is also a long big-man projected to be drafted in the second round. Dower, McCrea and Miller are borderline second-round candidates, and will likely be undrafted free agents.
The Celtics will have the following players in on Thursday, according to ESPN's Jeff Goodman:
C.J. Fair, F -- Syracuse
Jerami Grant, F -- Syracuse
Aaron Gordon, PF -- Arizona
Doug McDermott, SF -- Creighton
The Celtics own the sixth and 17th overall pick in the June 26 NBA Draft.
