Celtics Top Knicks
Rajon Rondo scored 15 points and had 16 assists to lead the Celtics to a 110-106 win over the Knicks on Tuesday night. Ray Allen added a team-high 24 points, going 9 for 14 from the floor and 5 of 6 from the line. Kevin Garnett had 16 points and 8 rebounds. Paul Pierce was a late scratch from the game. He was at home with the flu while also resting his injured thumb. For the Knicks, David Lee had 28 points and 15 rebounds. Wilson Chandler had 19 points and Sergio Rodriguez chipped in 18.
In his Boston debut, Nate Robinson scored 4 points on 2 of 7 from the floor. Former Celtic Eddie House was recognized with a video tribute during a timeout in the first quarter during which he was given a standing ovation. The Celtics will play the middle game of their 3-game homestand on Thursday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
