Celtics Stung by Hornets
The Celtics were outscored 29-12 in the 3rd quarter on their way to a 93-85 loss to the New Orleans Hornets. It marks the second straight game in which the C's coughed up a double-digit halftime lead.
Paul Pierce did play and scored a team high 15 points, 13 of which came in the 1st half. Marquis Daniels had 14 points off the bench
Ray Allen missed his first game all season with back spasms. Tony Allen (13 points) started in his place.
The Celtics enter the All-Star break at 32-18. The Green return to the floor on Tuesday night in Sacramento, as part of a road trip that includes the Lakers, Blazers, and Nuggets.
