Celtics' Rondo Interning At GQ For New York Fashion Week

BOSTON (CBS) -  There has been much debate this summer on who is the best point guard in the NBA.

Rajon Rondo's name is included in that conversation -- by pundits and himself -- but this might put him over the top.

The Boston Celtics point guard is adding a new title to his resume: GQ intern.

Rondo is joining GQ as a fashion intern for New York's Fashion Week, effective immediately. He will be working closely with their fashion department, attending fashion shows with GQ editors and writing about his experience for the magazine's website.

"I love the set-up so far and I'm having fun. I'm still a rookie at this," Rondo said of his new position. "I'm humble. Anything GQ needs me to do—getting coffee—I'll do. In my position, I haven't done things like this in my entire life. It's fun doing what I do, but it's nice getting the flipside of that 9 to 5."

No word if he'll use that fake behind-the-back pass to hand over those coffees. The upper management at GQ will have to be ready for it at all times.

Rondo has been noted as a spiffy dresser, and he'll probably pick up a few fashion tips this week that he can pass along to his teammates for the upcoming season.

Not that the Celtics really need any.
