Pierce Game-Time Decision Against Pistons
BOSTON (CBS) – The Boston Celtics could use captain Paul Pierce, and the forward has hinted he is close to a return from a heel injury.
Pierce tweeted "I'm close very very close very" on Thursday night, as the Celtics get set to play the Detroit Pistons Friday night in their home opener.
According to ESPN's Chris Sheridan, the team has ruled Pierce a game-time decision Friday night as they look for their first win of the season.

Pierce has missed all three of the Celtics games so far this season with Sasha Pavlovic starting in his place.

Doc Rivers had pointed to Friday as a hopeful return for Pierce, who led the team with 18.9 points per game last season.
