Jeff Green On Gresh & Zo: 'I Want The Ball At The End'
BOSTON (CBS) - Boston Celtics forward Jeff Green joined 98.5 The Sports Hub's Gresh & Zolak on Thursday, the day after the C's won their first game of the season.
While the Celtics aren't too happy with their 1-4 record to begin the 2013-14 campaign, Green is happy with the progress the team is showing over the last week.
"The record doesn't sit well with anyone on the team, but we've been progressing in these games and we're just learning. New coach, new players -- we're just five games in, there is no need to panic," he said. "You look around the league and you see some elite teams with just one win. I think we're making progress and getting better."

"It's a process. During preseason we never really got a good rotation, and we're still trying to work out the kinks and find the correct lineup," he said. "It's been a process so far and I feel like we're progressing. I think last night was a big step for us."
With Rajon Rondo out until at least December, Green is the go-to guy on offense. While he's averaging a team-high 17 points per game, Green has gone missing in crunch time and was even benched in the fourth quarter in Boston's loss to Detroit on Sunday.
But Green isn't afraid to be the man on offense, and says while Rondo is out the offense should revolve around him. He said he's he's up to that challenge, ready to prove his doubters wrong.

"Yes, I truly believe that," Green said confidently. "When Rondo comes back we'll have two guys, but at this point I feel like I do want the ball and I should have it at the end. We have guys that can make plays at the end and create for others, so I think it depends on the night. But I don't care if I'm 0-for-16, I want the ball at the end."

Green also talked about his health now that he is two years removed from heart surgery, and life inside the Celtics locker room in relation to what is currently going on with the Miami Dolphins:
