Celtics Granted 2013 2nd Round Pick In Jeff Green Trade Dispute
BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Celtics may have lost Jeff Green for the 2012 season, but they are getting some compensation in return.
The NBA has granted Boston a 2013 second-round pick from Oklahoma City in a dispute over Green's medical condition.
The story was first reported by Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski via twitter.
The Celtics lodged a complaint with the NBA following the discovery of Green's heart condition at the beginning of the season. With the ruling in Boston's favor, Oklahoma City will now send a 2013 second-round pick (originally belonging to the Charlotte Bobcats) to the Celtics.
