Celtics 'Going To Just Let Ray Keep Talking'
BOSTON (CBS) - Ray Allen has a lot to say about his former team now that he is a member of the Miami Heat.
But the Boston Celtics aren't going to get into a war of words with him. Instead, they'll let their play next Tuesday do the talking.
Earlier this week, Allen told the Miami Herald that if Rajon Rondo had issues with him during their time together in Boston, it's on the point guard.
The Celtics had little to say about Allen's comments on Wednesday.
"We're going to just let Ray keep talking," Boston head coach Doc Rivers said. "It's easier."
"I don't know what happened or hear anything," Rondo said. "I just stay focused and hit the gym. I didn't read any papers or see anything on the news about Number 20."

In the article, Allen stressed he had no issues with Rondo while in Boston. But he did go to Rondo back in the 2009 season, when the Celtics were working out a trade that would have sent the two of them to Phoenix for Amare Stoudemire, Leandro Barbossa and the 14th overall pick in the 2010 draft.
Allen said Danny Ainge and Rivers "didn't get along" with Rondo at the time, and he wanted to see if he could get Rondo to change his ways to avoid the trade.
"So I called him and I told him, 'Hey they're supposedly trading us to Phoenix because you and Danny and Doc don't get along,' " Allen told the Herald. "'So, whatever you can do.'"
"So, for some reason, I guess he thought that I was ... that I had something against him, or there were some issues. And I had no issues with him. I won with him," said Allen.
Allen has had plenty of words for the Celtics since he signed a three-year deal with the Miami Heat in July. He said the Celtics didn't make him feel wanted this off-season, so he left to take less money from the current defending champs.

The Celtics have not kept completely quiet this summer though. Paul Pierce said he was "a little bitter" at Allen's choice to leave, and Kevin Garnett said on Celtics Media Day he no longer had Allen's phone number.
The Celtics and Heat open the NBA season Tuesday, October 30 in Miami.
