Celtics Draft Syracuse F Kris Joseph In Second Round
BOSTON (CBS) - With their second round pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, the Boston Celtics selected Syracuse forward Kris Joseph.
The 6-7 Joseph was the second Syracuse player drafted by Boston on the night, as they took center Fab Melo 22nd overall in the first round.

Joseph, who played four seasons in Syracuse, led the Orange with 13.4 points per game in the 2011-12 season, as the Orange went 34-3 and were a number-one seed in the NCAA tournament. They made it to the elite eight in the tournament, getting knocked out by Jared Sullinger and the Ohio State Buckeyes, who the Celtics took 21st overall.

With Melo and Joseph, it marks the second straight season the Celtics have drafted college teammates. They selected Purdue's JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore in the 2011 NBA Draft.
