Carmela's Restaurant In Kingston Badly Damaged By Fire
KINGSTON (CBS) -- An Italian restaurant in Kingston was badly damaged in a fire Wednesday night.
Customers were inside Carmela's when flames broke out at about 8:40 p.m. on the second floor, which houses storage and the HVAC system.
Everyone was able to get out safely.
Carmela's has been in business for 20 years, and the family also owns Mama Mia's down the street.
It took about 25 minutes to knock down the two-alarm fire, but the fire chief said the building was a significant loss.
The cause has not yet been determined.
