Canton Man Shot In Neck After Answering Doorbell
CANTON, Mass. (AP) — Police are searching for a gunman they say rang a Canton home's doorbell in the early morning hours and shot the man who answered in the neck.
Police say someone came to the Chapman Street home's door at about 2 a.m. Friday and shot the 29-year-old resident.
The victim was conscious and alert when he was taken to a Boston hospital and is expected to survive.
A woman in the home at the time was not injured.
No names were released.
Sgt. Charles Ray says investigators are looking for the gunman, but do not believe the shooting was a random attack.
