BOSTON (CBS) -- An 11-year-old Canton girl got to witness first-hand just how hard it can be to brush a gorilla's teeth.

Livia Davis of Canton wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up. She got to go to Franklin Park Zoo Wednesday because she won a raffle sponsored by Arch Orthodontics.
"It was a wonderful way to tie in taking care of animals, taking care of our teeth and taking care of our patients," Orthodontist Robert Chavez said.
A zoo keeper showed Davis how she moves the lips and gums of the 300-pound gorilla named "Oakie" to get the gorilla used to having its teeth brushed.
"I was really excited, I've never done anything like it before," Davis said.
