Cam Neely On Felger & Mazz: Bruins Will Feed Off Home Crowd's Energy For Game 7
Felger and Massarotti were joined by Boston Bruins president Cam Neely ahead of the Bruins' matchup with the Capitals in Game 7 tomorrow night.
Felger and Mazz asked Neely about allegations that Brad Marchand has been embellishing or "flopping" on some hits from the Capitals.
"I don't think that there should be any embellishing whatsoever, but it happens," Neely said. "It happens across the league, it happens in every game. ... I don't know if Brad was looking to embellish anything on that particular play."
How does Neely feel about Tim Thomas' more aggressive play? And what does he think about suggestions that the league is "more violent" than it has been in the past?
"I don't necessarily think the league is more violent. I think the injuries, the concussions, are the biggest thing," said Neely, while also identifying increases in pad size as well as changes in the speed and size of players as reasons injuries have increased.
Neely also answers questions from Felger and Mazz about the Bruins' power play performance, as well as questions on the level of physical play from the B's. To end the interview, Felger and Mazz get Neely's keys for Game 7.
