"As currently constituted they are not Cup contenders, and as I've previously stated, I'm not confident [general manager] Peter Chiarelli can go out there and make a deal," said Jones. "They should be better and they're better than what they've shown, but unless they go out and make a deal they are not contenders. I'll sell that."
Buy or Sell: Chris Stewart Would Be A Good Fit On The Bruins
"I buy that that's the kind of move Peter Chiarelli is going to make, a guy like Corey Potter or Andrej Meszaros or a move like that; bringing in a guy with some edge to his game and someone who's had some finishing ability in his career," said Jones.
Buy or Sell: Brad Stevens Will Remain Celtics Head Coach Beyond Next Season (Year #3)
"He's been so adamant about not going anywhere, so I think it'd be hard for him to back out of that," said Jones. "I know athletes lie to our faces all the time, but he was very adamant. I'll buy that Stevens sticks here."
Buy or Sell: Red Sox Will Win AL East In 2015
"As currently constituted? I'll sell it. They need an ace. I don't think the Red Sox are good enough to win the AL East without something closer to a No. 1 than they have right now, whether that's James Shields or Cole Hamels I don't know. But you need better than Clay Buchholz and Justin Masterson in your rotation to win the AL East. I feel confident in saying that."
Buy or Sell: Egg Nog Is An Appropriate Drink Year-Round
"Sell. I will drink egg nog maybe the week of Christmas, but I don't even think I drink it in the entire month of December, never mind beyond just this general week of Christmas. I would sell that."
