Business Headlines: Crumbs Coming; ZipCar's Deal With Boston
BOSTON (CBS) - The gourmet cupcake chain Crumbs is coming to Boston.
They have all types of cupcakes on their menu, even a colossal cupcake that can serve six-to-eight people.
They call themselves the nation's largest chain, and they'll open up in the former Copley Flair storefront near South Station.
Crumbs has several locations in the New York area and they've just opened two locations in Washington, D.C.
Construction here will wrap up later this month.
ZIPCAR DEAL
The city of Boston is turning to ZipCar to manage its fleet of city-owned vehicles.
Zipcar will run the city's new Fleetcar program.
The city will have just one fleet of cars for the entire municipal government.
Instead of each department having to maintain its own cars, they'll be able to reserve cars online when they need them.
GAS PRICES UP
And the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is now $3.52 in Massachusetts.
That's up more than ten cents in the last month, but it's what's coming down the line that's even more troubling.
Prices usually start their rise around this time of year, and analysts are predicting they could jump another 60-cents by Memorial Day, which would put the price over $4 a gallon.
