Buffalo Bills Proud To Actually Have A Chance At Beating Brady-Less Patriots

By Matt Dolloff, CBS Boston

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Buffalo Bills just can't resist trolling the Patriots on social media, perfectly content to win the Twitter battle while New England wins the important part, the actual football games.

However, now that Tom Brady's DeflateGate suspension has been reinstated, the Bills suddenly have a chance - well, at least they feel that way. Of the Patriots' first four opponents in 2016, who they will potentially face with Jimmy Garoppolo making his first career starts at quarterback, the Bills were the only ones who dared to go there.

This is not the first time the Bills have done this. They are serial Patriots troll-ers on social media and in general, like when they put air pumps on sale the week Tom Brady hung 366 yards on them in their own building in the Patriots' Week 2 win last season. They try to take on Rex Ryan's "bully" persona, but to New England come off more like a puppy nipping at the Patriots' heels.

Granted, this is more about needling Patriots fans more than the team, but it's still a shaky move that could backfire (in Twitter terms, anyway) if, 1) Brady's suspension gets overturned or delayed for a second time, or 2) the Bills can't beat the Patriots anyway in their Week 4 matchup at Gillette Stadium. This should be their reaction, if that happens:

Let's assume Garoppolo is an average NFL quarterback. Right now, it's too early and extreme to assume that he's any good or that he stinks. With an average quarterback, the Patriots are still as good, if not better than the Bills. The Miami Dolphins, Houston Texans, and maybe even Arizona Cardinals all knew better than to say anything, because they know the Pats can still be a tough team to beat, even with an average quarterback.

This tweet already comes off as pathetic for the Bills, and there's really no way for it to look good for them or their fans. If they win Week 4 ... congrats, you beat the Patriots' backup QB in his fourth career start.

I know that I will have this tweet favorited, just in case I can shove it back in the Bills' face months later if they can't even beat a Brady-less Patriots. Would you join me in the schadenfreude?
