BU Students Victimized In Three Robberies, One At Gunpoint
BROOKLINE (CBS) – Three Boston University students were robbed at gunpoint early Saturday morning, according to the school; one of three robberies that took place near the campus within a few hours of each other.
It was one of three separate robberies that took place between Friday night and Saturday morning near the campus.
The report from BU says a female student and two companions were robbed at gunpoint at about 12:15 a.m. at St. Paul and Thatcher Street in Brookline.
The victims were not injured.
The suspects were described as two white males.
"One was about 6'2″ with a large nose and was wearing a white hoodie and black jacket… The second suspect was between 5'10″ and 6′, with a thick build and wearing a black jacket with a scarf over his face," according to the report in BU Today.
Two other unarmed robberies also took place in the span of a few hours. They do not appear to be connected.
The first was in the alley adjacent to Shaw's supermarket around 11:30 p.m. Friday.
The later was outside 275 Babcock Street at 1:25 a.m. Saturday morning.
Both victims were assaulted and had their cellphones stolen.
Brookline, Boston and Boston University police are all investigating. BU says they are adding patrols in the area.
BU students were targeted in a string of robberies back in October. The suspects in those robberies were all arrested.
