BU Fraternity Shut Down After Hazing Incident
BOSTON (CBS) - The party is over at Alpha Epsilon Pi at Boston University.
The fraternity's national board of directors has shut down its B.U. chapter, which was not sanctioned by the university, in response to allegations this week of extreme hazing, which involved tying up and beating five students who were pledging the fraternity.

The fraternity is also calling for a three-day moratorium on pledging activities at its chapters in the U.S., Canada and Israel, according to the Boston Globe.
Early Monday morning, police found five B.U. students nearly naked, bound together with duct tape, covered in condiments and showing signs of a beating.
B.U. cut ties with the fraternity nearly 20 years ago due to underage drinking.
Boston police are seeking criminal complaints against 14 members for hazing and assault and battery.
