Bryan Stork Upgraded To Probable For Patriots In Super Bowl

CHANDLER, Ariz. (CBS) -- The Patriots delivered some good news to fans on Saturday afternoon, as they upgraded starting center Bryan Stork to "probable" for the Super Bowl.

Stork had been listed on Friday's report as questionable, so the status change is an indication that Stork is likely good to go.

The Patriots offensive line found its most success this season when Stork played between guards Dan Connolly and Ryan Wendell. When any of those three players was not in the lineup or injured, Tom Brady's offense struggled.

In addition to protecting the quarterback, Stork was immense in the running game. ESPN noted on Saturday that the Patriots averaged 4.2 yards per rush when Stork was in the lineup but just 3.3 when Stork was out.

Stork suffered a knee injury during the second quarter of the Patriots' divisional round game against the Ravens, an injury which kept him off the field the following week in the AFC Championship Game.

The Seahawks had encouraging news on the injury front themselves, as Kam Chancellor participated in the team's final walkthrough on Saturday. Chancellor had suffered a knee injury late in practice on Friday, and he was listed as probable for Sunday.

Bill Belichick canceled the Patriots' Saturday walkthrough.

"This is it," Belichick said on Friday. "Practice-wise, we're done. We're as ready as we're going to be."
