Bruins Sweep Homestand But 'Can't Be Satisfied'
BOSTON (CBS) – The Boston Bruins are one of the hottest teams in hockey, fresh off their seventh straight win Thursday night.
Boston swept a five-game homestand, putting them one point behind both Florida and Ottawa for the seventh and eighth spots in the Eastern Conference.
"It feels good," forward Patrice Bergeron said. "That being said we can't worry about it or think about it too much we've got to make sure we're turning the page every night and learning from what we can do better like tonight and we're keeping the confidence going and being ready for the next game."
When the Bruins began the homestand last Monday against the Islanders, they knew it would be an opportunity to make up for their 3-7 start. But they did not want to get too far ahead of themselves, taking it one game at a time.
"We talked about it before when we were looking at the schedule we had and that was the goal and now we accomplished it," defenseman Zdeno Chara said of winning all five games at home. "But that's not exactly how we were looking at it when we started playing those five games at home... We were thinking one game at a time and our goal was to accomplish as many points as possible and we got all of them so now we have to set a new goal and we're going to have to be playing probably a little bit at home and on the road so, yeah I mean, we can't be satisfied, we just have to keep going."

The Bruins have yet to lose a game in November, and are averaging five goals per game over the seven –game win streak. For a team that struggled at home last season, they don't necessarily attribute their turnaround to the home cooking.
"You know what, we played pretty bad hockey before that so I think it was just a matter of getting back on track and really finding our style of hockey and how we play the game," said goalie Tuukka Rask, who has won his last three starts in net.

"I don't know if it's the homestand, actually more that it's we've kind of turned our game around and realized what kind of hole we were in, and still are, as a matter of fact," said head coach Claude Julien. "It'll be good to go on the road; it'll be a good test for us, but I liked the fact that we were two-and-five for a while and we've managed to get ourselves back to being a better team at home and certainly want a better record, and we wanted to make our place not such a comfortable place to play in for opposing teams."
The Bruins hit the road for the next three games, with stops in Long Island, Montreal and Buffalo.
