Bruins Stanley Cup Gear Flying Off The Shelves
NEWTON (CBS) - Are you having trouble finding Stanley Cup gear? You're not alone.
Winning a cup certainly makes you more popular, and the Bruins are so beloved right now, many fans can't find team gear, especially hats.
Those who flooded stores like Modell's in Newton in the first few hours to grab Bruins gear made a good move, as stores on Sunday were still suffering a shortage of Stanley Cup shirts and hats.
WBZ-TV's Jim Smith reports.
"I have been to this store four times trying to get a Bruins championship t-shirt in my size, a women's small, and every time we've come, they've been telling us that they're out, but they'll be getting more in," said Rachel Geller, a shopper. "And today, I'm really sad because we just left the store, and they said they're not getting any more t-shirts in at all."
For Father's day, many shoppers were looking for Stanley Cup apparel for dads, and in some cases they came up empty-handed.
