Bruins Sign Peter Cehlarik To 3-Year Entry-Level Deal

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Boston Bruins have signed forward Peter Cehlarik to a three-year entry-level contract, the team announced on Thursday.

Cehlarik, a third-round selection by Boston in 2013, most recently played with Lulea HF in the Swedish Hockey League in 2015-16, tallying a career-high 11 goals and 20 points with a plus-seven rating in 46 games. The 6-foot-2, 202-pounder also skated in 11 playoff games last season, posting three goals and two assists.

For his career, the 20-year-old Cehlarik has appeared in 132 career games with Lulea HF, recording 22 goals and 27 assists for 49 points. He has five goals and three assists in 25 playoff games for the Swedish club. He also played 18 games for Asploven HC in the Swedish 1st Division in 2013-14, scoring five goals and eight assists.

On the international stage, Cehlarik has represented Slovakia at the 2013 Under-18 World Junior Championships, the Under-20 World Junior Championships in 2014 and 2015, as well as the 2016 IIHF World Championships. In 23 career international games in those tournaments, he totaled five goals and nine assists for 14 points.
