Bruins Send Defenseman Kevan Miller Back To Providence
BOSTON (CBS) - With Adam McQuaid back from injury and Dennis Seidenberg expected to return, the Boston Bruins sent defenseman Kevan Miller back to Providence on Thursday.
The 26-year-old Miller was impressive in his three game stint with Boston after being called up last week on an emergency basis. He made his NHL debut last Thursday, playing 17:42 and finishing with a plus-1 rating in a shootout loss to the St. Louis Blues. He finished his NHL stint with an even rating in 52:22 of ice time, often skating with former Providence teammate Matt Bartkowski.

Miller did not play in Wednesday night's loss to the Detroit Red Wings as McQuaid returned from a lower-body injury. There is a good chance Seidenberg returns in Friday's matinee against the New York Rangers, giving Boston their full compliment of blue-liners.
Boston head coach Claude Julien had nothing but good things to say about Miller's time in Boston.
"I think we all saw good a defenseman he was. He was pretty steady," Julien said Thursday, according to CSNNE's Joe Haggerty. "Even [Wednesday night] I had to think about it right up until warm-up as to whether I was going to keep him in, or go with [McQuaid]. The experience of [McQuaid] was the kind of guy that we needed with the young [defensemen] corps right now."
After an impressive three-game stint with the big club, there is a good chance Miller will be back in Boston at some point throughout the long NHL regular season.
