Bruins On Seguin Benching: 'Old News'
BOSTON (CBS) – Boston Bruins forward Tyler Seguin would not talk about his Tuesday night benching at practice Thursday morning, instead focusing on what is ahead for Boston.
His coach is also ready to put the misunderstanding in the past.
"All I know is this is old news; this is two days old," Bruins head coach Claude Julien said when asked about the Seguin benching. "For us, we've really turned the page on that and it's not even an issue today. Old news is old news and we've moved on."

The Bruins leading scorer was benched for Tuesday night's 2-1 loss to the Jets in Winnipeg after missing the team's breakfast and morning meeting. The Bruins played in Pittsburgh Monday night, and did not arrive in Winnipeg until early Tuesday morning.
Seguin's roommate, Jordan Caron, explained his side of the story, saying it was all just an accident.
"I got up pretty early and didn't want to wake him up," said Caron. "I went to breakfast and then the meeting started. We tried to call him a few times. It's an accident. I don't think it's anybody's fault and it happens."

Caron did put to rest any thoughts that Seguin was not in the hotel at the time of breakfast or the meeting.
"He wasn't out or anything," he said. "We got in pretty late (from Pittsburgh) and went to bed at the same time. I woke up the next morning and I went to get breakfast and didn't want to wake him up. It was an accident. He's not someone who oversleeps a lot and like I said it was an accident."
Kalman: 'Testing Boundaries' Stage For Seguin
It was an accident everyone is putting behind them, and will not let get in the way of the club's future.
"He's fine and I'm fine. He's in the lineup tonight and he's going to be playing," said Julien. "Unfortunately you guys are trying to make a bigger story out of this than it is. He's missed a game, he's paid his dues and it's a 19 year-old that is fine with us, he's a good professional and that's it. Page turned and we move on."
