Bruins On PP Slump: 'Another Scoreless Result'
BOSTON (CBS) - After their 1-0 loss to the Ottawa Senators Tuesday night at the Garden, it's pretty apparent the Boston Bruins are suffering a power outage.
The B's were 0-for-4 on the Power Play against the Senators, dropping their February total to just 4-for-32.
"Normally you shouldn't lose a 1-0 game. I mean our power play's got to come through," defenseman Joe Corvo said after the loss. "I think that was the let-down (last night)."
"I thought our power play had some good chances. A few of the power plays I thought definitely gave us some momentum," forward Tyler Seguin said after the loss. "You know in the end it's about results - getting those goals and winning the game so I can definitely sit here and say we had a lot of chances again but again, but in the end another scoreless results."

Tuesday night was also the Bruins fifth shutout of the month. In those games, they went 0-for-8 with the man advantage.
When asked if that is concerning, head coach Claude Julien game a simple "no" as his answer.
He also is not too concerned with the Bruins one-point lead over the Senators for the Northeast, with four games in hand on Ottawa.

"I'm not saying we're getting comfortable here, but that's the luxury that we have. We do have four games in hand and at this time of year, they got 17 games left I think and we got 21, so it's up to us to just do the job," said Julien. "This is an opportunity for us to have those games in hand – take advantage of it. I don't think I'm really worried about [Ottawa], as you say worry about ourselves and just do the job and we'll be fine."
And as for the scoring draught Tuesday night, and not just on the PP, a Bruins captain chalked it up as "one of those games."
"Well that last game we scored five goals, so it's one of those games that, you know, yeah we could have created more chances," said Patrice Bergeron. "I think we had some nice chances that we've got to find a way to finish. Maybe have some more traffic. It was a good game, [Ottawa goalie Robin Lehner] made some nice saves, but still, we've got to be better."
