Bruins Not Looking Ahead, Focused On Game 6
BOSTON (CBS) – The Boston Bruins are fighting for a chance to play a Game 7 on Wednesday for the Stanley Cup.
But Game 7 is not even in the back of their minds. Right now, all their attention is on Monday night's Game 6 at the TD Garden.
"I think it's clear to our players that all the focus should be about tonight," said Bruins coach Claude Julien. "If you want to create a Game 7 you have to focus on tonight's game, not on Game 7.
"Our guys have done a good job with that in the past," said Julien. "And whether we've been in the lead or whether we've gotten behind in the beginning of a series, we never let ourselves look too far ahead so our guys deserve a lot of credit for that."

"There hasn't been any talk about Game 7 or what-not. We know there is a job that needs to be done tonight," said forward Milan Lucic. "That's where we have matured as a team and that's what has gotten us to this point; we never look past the challenge that is ahead of us. We don't even want to talk or think about a Game 7 because there is a big job that has to be done tonight for us."
Bruins Focusing On Game 6
The Bruins were unable to beat Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo in Game 5 Friday, falling 1-0 to give Vancouver a 3-2 series lead. Now the series shifts back to Boston where the Bruins tagged Luongo for 12 goals in two games.
"We have to go after it, play loose; don't be scared to do something. We have to play to win the game," said David Krejci. "We have to be on our toes and go after it."
"I think we felt pretty good out there today," said Thornton, who won a Cup with the Anaheim Ducks in 2007. "I mean, we have to, right? It's do or die. It's going to take everybody, but it looks like everyone is focused, which is good."
"I'm still pissed off about Game 5, and I hope everyone else is too," added Thornton. "Tonight's the night. We'll see what happens."

"It's one of the biggest games of our career for most of us, so hopefully we can get it done," said Krejci.
The Bruins won each of their home games in convincing fashion, but have put those wins behind them as they turn their attentions to a "do-or-die" Game 6. Boston has plenty of experience in being down in a series, something theywill draw off of as they try to continue their season.
"It's a situation that we have to win, but it's a situation that we've faced before," said defenseman Andrew Ference. "We've played in Game 7's before where we had to win. We've felt like we've been in other situations and games that were just as important to win to keep our hopes alive. It's another one of those. It's not a unique game for us, because we've had to win and play well to keep our chances alive."
"It's the biggest game that most of us have played in our NHL career, but we have to approach it like any other," said Lucic.

"We play one great game of hockey, we have potential to get another shot at it on the road," said Thornton. "We'll focus on it tonight, and see where it goes from there."
