Bruins Need Win In Last Game To Clinch Division, 2-Seed
BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Bruins let a 2-0 lead slip away against the Washington Capitals on Saturday night, but despite the 3-2 overtime loss and a Montreal Canadiens win, they still have a chance to win the Northeast Division in the regular season's final game Sunday night.
The Bruins and Ottawa Senators are the only two teams in action on Sunday night, as the Bruins look to close their 2012-13 regular season with a win. With that win, any kind of win, the Bruins would clinch the Northeast Division and secure the two-seed in the Eastern Conference.

Here are the Bruins playoff scenarios heading into the final game of the regular season:
- With a regulation win, the Bruins clinch the division, secure the two-seed and would face the New York Islanders in the first round of the playoffs.
- With an overtime or shootout win over Ottawa, the Bruins still clinch the division and two-seed, but would face the Senators in the first round.
- With a loss to the Senators in regulation, overtime or a shootout, the Bruins fall to the four-seed and would face the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first round.

Claude Julien has said the Bruins will play to win on Sunday night and not rest players, and the two-seed could prove to be crucial. With that seed, the Bruins would avoid the top-seeded Pittsburgh Penguins, and have home ice, until the Eastern Conference Finals -- if they make it that far.
