Bruins McQuaid To Be Re-Evaluated After Crash Into Boards
BOSTON (CBS) - Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid will be re-evaluated in Boston on Tuesday after leaving the Bruins 3-2 overtime win over the Flyers on Monday night.
McQuaid left the game in the first period after crashing headfirst into the boards. He was trying to check the Flyers Mike Richards but missed and hit the boards. He was on the ice for several minutes and needed to be helped off the ice. McQuaid was taken the the hospital, but was able to fly back to Boston with the team.
"That's a good sign in itself," head coach Claude Julien said after the game.

McQuaid's injury left the Bruins shorthanded, with only five remaining defensemen.
"Our D did a great job at stepping up. They really played a lot of their top four D's," Julien said. "It was a matter of will and desire."
