Bruins McQuaid Day To Day With Strained Neck
BOSTON (CBS) - Boston Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid is day-to-day after suffering a strained neck in Monday night's 3-2 overtime victory over the Philadelphia Flyers, Bruins coach Claude Julien said on Tuesday.
"Everything so far has come back negative, so he is a day-to-day player so far," Julien said.

McQuaid was injured in the first period after he slammed into the boards trying to check Philadelphia's Mike Richards. He was helped off the ice and taken to the hospital for examination.

McQuaid was re-evaluated in Boston Tuesday afternoon where he was diagnosed with a strained neck. If he is unable to go in Wednesday's Game 3 in Boston, it is possible veteran Shane Hnidy could take his spot.
Julien also said injured defenseman Steven Kampfer, out since mid-April with a knee injury, resumed skating on Tuesday but will not return anytime soon.
