Bruins' Krejci Leaves After Taking Puck To Right Knee
BOSTON (CBS) - If Sunday's loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins wasn't enough, the Boston Bruins may have also lost one of their front-line contributors.
Center David Krejci was forced to leave Sunday's 2-1 loss in Pittsburgh after taking a Johnny Boychuck slapshot to the right knee with about five minutes remaining in the game. Krejci jumped to avoid the shot, but jumped right into it. He immediately crumbled to the ice and grabbed his knee, where he reamined for several minutes as he was tended to by Boston's trainer.
Krejci was helped off the ice and didn't put any pressure on the leg as he made his way to the Bruins' locker room.
The team did not have any updates after the game, but head coach Claude Julien expects Krejci to travel with the team to Winnipeg as the Bruins continue a four-game road trip.

"I haven't been told that [Krejci] hasn't, wasn't or isn't," said Julien said when asked if Krejci would travel -- according to CSNNE's Joe Haggerty. "That's basically all I have."
Haggerty notes that Krejci was able to stiffly walk to the team bus on Sunday, but warns that center Chris Kelly was also seen walking on his own shortly after he suffered a broken tibia last week. Kelly is out indefinably with his injury, so if Krejci were to miss an extended period of time as well the Bruins would be thin at the center position.
Rich Peverley moved up to the to center Milan Lucic and Nathan Horton on Sunday following Krejci's injury.
The Bruins play next in Winnipeg on Tuesday night.
