Julien: Eriksson 'Doing Okay' After Concussion
BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Bruins will be without Loui Eriksson for the second straight game Saturday night, with the forward out indefinitely after suffering a concussion Wednesday night in Buffalo.
Bruins head coach Claude Julien offered a quick update on Eriksson after his team's Saturday morning skate at the TD Garden, but we likely won't see the Swedish forward any time soon.
"Loui is doing okay, I guess, for a guy that suffered a concussion," said Julien. "It's the same thing, you have a good day and you have less of a good day. It's early on, but like always you keep your fingers crossed that it's going to get better sooner rather than later for his sake."

Brad Marchand moved back up to the second line after Eriksson was knocked out by an elbow to the face from Buffalo's John Scott (who has been suspended indefinitely and will have an in-person disciplinary hearing on Thursday), and center Patrice Bergeron is happy to have his old linemate back. But he said the B's certainly miss Eriksson's two-way game.
"The way that he's always there on defense but also on the forecheck," said Bergeron. "He's a great player, obviously you miss him every time you play with a player like him."

"He's a good playmaker, but not only that he's smart with the puck. He doesn't just throw it away. What we miss is the chemistry he started to build with his linemates," Julien said of Eriksson. "I thought that line was really good in Buffalo, and they had a lot of chances. So right now we take a step backwards because of that."
Eriksson had two goals and an assist through the first eight games of the season.
