Bruins, Garden Looking For Vandal
BOSTON (CBS) -- Never disrespect the Garden. That's the message the Boston Bruins hope to get across to a rowdy fan.
It's a response to a cell phone video making the rounds on the internet. It shows a woman in a Bruins jersey kicking a hole in a post inside a bathroom before falling backwards in a fit of laughter.
The Bruins responded by posting its own humorous video showing the team's bear mascot in the bathroom repairing the vandalized post with spackle. Then the buzzer sounds with a written warning not to disrespect the garden, and not to post it online.
It happened Saturday when the Bruins faced the St. Louis Blues, and lost the game in a shootout.
The Garden's general manager put out this statement:
"The TD Garden is proud and fortunate to have a respectful fan base and this isolated incident is not typical or representative of our guest's conduct. We'd like to take this time to remind our fans of our fan safety hotline, 617-624-2FAN (2326), where any disturbance to the fan experience can be reported. Anyone with information related to this incident should contact Boston Police at 1-800-494-TIPS."
