Bruins Friday Skate: Soderberg Takes Daugavins Spot On 4th Line
BOSTON (CBS) - Kaspars Daugavins has been in Claude Julien's dog house, and it appears he has now has found his way to the Bruins' bench.
Carl Soderberg skated on Boston's fourth line alongside Rich Peverley and Shawn Thornton at their Friday morning skate at the TD Garden, prior to their departure for Chicago for Saturday's Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Daugavins did see some time on the ice on Friday, but the writing is on the wall for the Swedish sensation to make his way into the Bruins' lineup.
In his six playoff games, Daugavins has not recorded a goal or assist in over 52 minutes of ice time. He missed an open net in the third overtime of Game 1, and the Blackhawks scored shortly after the missed opportunity.
Soderberg has yet to play for Boston this postseason. He joined the team after his Swedish Elite league team was eliminated from postseason play in April, playing six regular season games and recording a pair of assists.
He isn't sure if he'll play come Saturday, but the Swede assures everyone he is ready if his number is called.
"I've been practicing for a long time now so I feel ready," he said Friday outside the TD Garden. "I'm a big guy and can protect the puck, and maybe can get it deep and go from there."
"I've been here for 11 weeks now; I'm getting to know the system a lot. I haven't played games in a while but if I'm playing tomorrow, I think it will go well."
Soderberg, who led the Swedish Elite League this season with 31 goals and finished second with 60 points in 54 games, said just being with the team and participating in warmups have helped prepare him.
"You get a little game feeling. You don't play but still you're there," he said. "It would be amazing to play, but I don't know."
